Indications/Special comments:
Treatment of depression (with psychotherapy). Depression with seasonal affective disorder. Smoking cessation.
Dosage Administration:
Depression: 150mg once daily in the morning, may be increase after 4 days to 300mg once daily; some patients may require up to 450mg/day as a single daily dose. Seasonal Affective Disorder: 150mg/day in the morning; if dose is well tolerated, increase to 300mg/day in one wk. Doses should be tapered to 150mg/day for 2 wk before discontinuing; Smoking cessation: 150mg once daily for 3 days, then 150mg twice daily for 7 – 12 wk (doses should be at least 8 hr apart).
