Indications/Special comments: Inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible organisms by inhibiting DNA and RNA polymerase.
Dosage Administration: Rheumatoid Arthritis: Adults: 400 – 600mg once daily initially, maintenance 200 – 400mg/day divided 1 – 2 times/day. Children: 3 – 5mg/kg/day divided 1 – 2 times/day to a maximum of 400mg/day; not to exceed 7mg/kg/day. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus:Adults: 400mg once or twice daily, maintenance 200 – 400mg/day. Children: 3 – 5mg/kg/day divided 1 – 2 times/day to a maximum of 400mg/day; not to exceed 7mg/kg/day.
