Pethidine Hydrochloride

Dosage Form: Tablet
Strength: 50mg
Indications/Special comments: Analgesia in moderate to severe pain including labour, anaesthesia adjunct; see also section introduction notes.
Dosage Administration: Adult: Oral: 50 - 150mg every 4 hours. IM (preferred), SC: 50 -150mg (usually 100mg) every three to four hour as needed; Child: Oral or IM: 0.5 -2.0mg/kg/dose, repeated 8 hourly if required. Maximum: 6mg/kg/day.
